Yes, spam is annoying! I was lucky to miss this message. My junk ruleš
picked it up before I opened it.
In Entourage, the email software I use on my Mac, you can have the mail you
deem junkš sent to a folder other than your inbox. I apply certain email
addresses, words, phrases, etc. as ones I donšt want to see. ŗAre you in
debt?˛ certainly fits the bill. Mortgage, viagra, sexy teens, etc. are the
kinds of messages I try to screen out. The rule approach is far from
perfect, for sure, so I need to periodically check/delete the messages in
the folder and make sure there isnšt something there I want to see. When I
used Microsoft Outlook Express there was a Block Sender option that helped.
There are also a number of software packages that were designed specifically
to screen span. To my knowledge, none of them are 100% dependable.
While I realize this subject is not the focus of this list, if anyone has
good methods for reducing spam, I would be delighted to learn of them. Amy
