FYI, the Sept 28th issue of Science magazine includes three articles on
visual processing that might be of interest to awbim folks inclined to
visual studies. Even if you are not interested in the articles, you might
want to check out the cover. It juxtaposes Johannes Vermeer's "The Painter
in His Studio" with a well-know diagram of Descartes' used to illustrate his
view of human perception of objects.
