what is art? art is a form of madness a delirium a layer of skin gone
missing.
The lost half-second between cause and effect a waste of time.
it is an affect and a disaffection it cannot be but what must be done;
a compulsion a non-entity a street-person that which has no home.
an escape from the every-day and the retrieval of all the days.
stuff, stuffed up bits and pieces not terrible enough;
too serene too optimistic too terrible to tolerate.
it is the middle of the face where the brows come down.
art is a cold war nowhere mentioned in modernist painting.

its parabola is standard equation: y2 = 4ax where 2a is the distance between
focus and directrix.

he asked "What's your name?"
art replied "No name."
it had come in through the window, and crouched by the fridge i the dark.
he offered some bread
then noticed that art had lost its teeth.
"do you want to leave by the back door or the front door?"
"the front door" art replied.
