This is true, but you have to open the message to see the message
address. Or at least I do. The advantage of an identifying prefix in
the subject heading is that you don't have to open the message to find
out that it's from the list. With all of the spam and viruses out
there, that is an advantageous feature imho. In general, if I suspect
a message of being spam, I throw it out without ever opening it, which
is what is recommended.
Concerning html vs. plain text, I have to admit, I'm awfully fond of
all of the advantages that html offers such as the ability to
underline or emphasize a word, and the luxury of getting rid of all of
that messy gibberish in url's. Up to date browsers that do the
translating for you are free and easy to download.
